1、章于炎博士简历

章于炎先生是密苏里新闻学院博士、院环球交流项目部中国合作项目主任。章于炎曾任《广州日报》政文科教部副主任、《广州英文早报》副主编和广州日报集团办公室副主任，2002年在密苏里新闻学院获硕士学位，2008年5月在该院获博士学位。章于炎的博士研究方向为媒体融合、媒介集团管理、媒体经济学和国际新闻学，章于炎为美国AEJMC(全美新闻与大众传播教育协会)、ICA(国际传播协会)、NCA(全美传播协会)和CCA(中国传播协会-[美国])会员,曾有多篇论文在以上协会的学术年会上宣读和演示并在美国、亚洲和中国的新闻传播核心刊物上发表。章于炎的博士论文《探索媒体融合:它能融合优质新闻、规模经济和范围经济及竞争优势吗?》受到学术委员会的好评，章于炎博士被密苏里新闻学院前任院长米尔斯博士院长誉为“全美最了解媒体融合的人之一”。在促进中美之间的交流方面，自2000年以来，章于炎博士设计、开辟和发展了与中国北京、上海、广州、成都、西安、杭州和昆明等地的广电和平面媒体的合作。同时，章于炎设计和发展了与中国新闻与传播学院的多种合作交流形式和项目，包括与中国近20所新闻传播学院成功建立本科双学士和研究生双硕士合作项目。章于炎还为上述等地的媒体和新闻传播学院举行过战略性传播、媒体融合、数据新闻、微电影微纪录片、传感器新闻和人工智能新闻教学周和讲座。章博士为中国传媒产业和新闻教育引进先进的技术和理念而孜孜努力。中国人民大学新闻传播学院于2005年11月授予章于炎“中美新闻传播教育合作交流杰出贡献奖”。密苏里大学于2009年4月授予章于炎博士“2009年度国际交流与合作贡献奖”,密苏里新闻学院也于2018年4月授予章于炎博士“2018艾米·林克优秀新闻教育管理奖”。

Dr. Ernest Zhang is currently the China Program Director of Global Programs at the Missouri School of Journalism (MSJ). Before his study at MSJ, Zhang spent six years in China as editor and reporter. While working with the Guangzhou Daily Press Group, he acted as deputy director of the Political and Cultural News Department and managing editor of the affiliated English-language Guangzhou Morning Post. Dr. Zhang earned both his master’s degree and Ph.D. degree from MSJ. Zhang’s doctoral research interests focus on media management, media economics, media convergence, and international communication. In May 2008, he got his doctorate by defending his dissertation titled “Examining Media Convergence: Does It Also Converge Good Journalism, Economic Synergies and Competitive Advantage?” He was praised by Dr. Mills, MSJ’s then dean, as “one of the people who understand convergence best.”

Since 2000, Dr. Zhang has designed, explored and developed cooperative and communicative programs with Chinese broadcast and print media organizations in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Chengdu, Xi’an, Hangzhou, and Kunming, and many other Chinese cities. In the meantime, Dr. Zhang has designed and developed the dual bachelor’s degree programs and dual master degree’s programs with about 20 schools of journalism and communication in China. Dr. Zhang has been acting as the team leader, a speaker and the chief interpreter for the sessions of training Chinese journalists and for the newly innovative courses for China’s journalism schools. Because of his ceaseless dedication to importing advanced emerging technologies and concepts to China’s media industry and journalism education, Dr. Zhang was granted with many awards. They include the Award of Outstanding Contribution to Sino-US Cooperation in Education of Journalism & Communication in 2005 issued by Renmin University of China, the \"2009 International Engagement Award\" issued by University of Missouri, and the “2018 Amy Link Staff Excellence Award” issued by MSJ for outstanding journalism education management.

2、章于炎博士讲座介绍

章于炎博士讲座的题目拟为“从媒体融合新闻到人工智能新闻:学界的专业创新和业界的实战运用”(“From Convergence Journalism to AI Journalism: Innovations in Journalism Education andApplications in Newsrooms”)，

讲座要点如下(The highlights of his lecture are as the following):

1) Journalism practitioners and educators agree that convergence journalism originated in Media General’s News Center in Tampa, Fl, in 2000.
